Sunapee State Park is a New Hampshire state park about 4 miles from Blodgett Landing. It sits close to a cluster of hiking and climbing spots, making it a natural base for a day spent on foot or on rock. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the Mt Sunapee weather station, about a mile away, show July highs near 79°F with lows around 59°F, while September cools to highs near 70°F. The Goshen Trail starts less than a mile away, and the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway and Summit Trail are both within about a mile. Climbers can head to Railroad Cut, roughly 1.6 miles off.
