The Newbury Cut is a climbing area in New Hampshire, about half a mile from the town of Newbury. It sits right next to the Railroad Cut, another climbing area just 0.1 mile away, making it easy to pair the two in one visit. The area is a bouldering destination, with seven routes in total, six of them boulders and one a sport route. The boulders run from V1 to V7-8, with the hardest of them, Project, at V7-8. Darwin's Arete is a V2 boulder with a first ascent by Buzzell. The sport route is the only one outside the bouldering range. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from the Mt Sunapee weather station, about 2.7 miles away, show July highs near 79°F and lows around 59°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. The Andrew Brook Trail and the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway are both within about a mile and a half, and the West Branch Warner River, about 4 miles away, offers paddling.
