The Slab is a climbing area in Nevada on Bureau of Land Management land within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office. It sits among a cluster of other climbing areas, with Amusement Park, Tiger Stripe Wall and Tuna and Chips Wall all about 0.1 mile away. The Calico Basin Trail and Guardian Angel are hikes within about 0.2 mile. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. The area has 15 sport routes, with grades ranging from 5.5 to 5.10a. Slab Line is a 5.5, and Streak on the Slab is the hardest at 5.10a. Red Rock Canyon Campground is about 2.9 miles away for an overnight stay.
