Lost Creek Lower Tier is a climbing area in Nevada's Rainbow Mountain Wilderness, within the Red Rock/Sloan Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management. It sits among several other climbing areas and trails, including Hidden Falls Wall, Ragged Edges Area and Graduate Cliff, all about 0.1 mile away, and the Lost Creek Trail. The climbing here is all trad, with seven routes ranging from 5.8 to 5.10d. Cochise is the easiest at 5.8, and The Threat is the hardest at 5.10d. The first ascents of these routes date back to the 1970s and 1980s. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 70°F and October highs around 75°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. That station sits about 865 feet lower than the area, so temperatures on the cliff run cooler.
