Ward Loop J is a short mountain biking route in Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, within the Ely Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is about 0.9 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 79 feet. The route starts at roughly 7,300 feet and reaches a high point of about 7,355 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 0.36 miles in, where the grade reaches about 4%. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ruth, Nevada, show July highs around 84°F and lows near 47°F, while winter brings highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days from December through February.
