The Tahoe Rim Trail Kbn T/H Spur is a short, low-elevation trail in Nevada, set within the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit of the Forest Service. It connects to the Kingsbury North Trailhead of the Tahoe Rim Trail and is a 0.5-mile route that climbs from about 7,790 feet to 7,920 feet. The high point is 7,920 feet, and the route also includes a descent of about 250 feet, so it works as a short add-on to a longer hike on the trail. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the Dagget Pass weather station, about a mile away, show July highs near 75°F with lows around 49°F and only a couple of wet days a month. Winter is far colder, with January highs in the mid-30s and lows near 23°F. The Kingsbury North Trailhead and the Castlerock Area are both about 0.2 miles away. Climbers can reach Castle Rock and Central Gully, each about 0.6 miles off.
