South Belmount Mine Trail is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Ely Ranger District of Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about a mile long, with a one-way elevation gain of 296 feet, and it rises from a low point of 8,326 feet to a high of 8,623 feet. The route is natural-surfaced and open to bikes, so it works for hikers and riders alike.
