Hankins Creek is a 2.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District of Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The trail rises from about 7,364 feet to about 7,987 feet, a climb of 741 feet, and is rated hard. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is on natural surface. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The trail is open year-round, so it works for a visit in any season. The Ruby Crest National Recreation Trail and the Green 1 Trail both lie about 1.2 miles away, and Dawley Creek is about 1.3 miles off. Harrison Pass, a climbing area, is about 3.3 miles away.
