Evans Creek is an easy hike of about 2.3 miles on natural surface in the Carson Ranger District of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Nevada. The trail is an out-and-back that gains about 360 feet, starting at roughly 4,900 feet and reaching about 5,300 feet at the high point. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 72°F and October highs around 68°F, while July and August average in the low 90s. Bikes are allowed on the trail. The Upper Evans Trail and Evans Canyon Trail both start about 0.1 mile away, and the Redrum boulder climbing area is about 0.4 mile off.
