Martin Lake is a mountain biking route in the Fortine Ranger District of Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana, about half a mile from the town of Fortine. The Forest Service manages the land. The route is short and gentle. It starts at about 3,381 feet and ends at about 3,350 feet, with a total climb of 11 feet and a total descent of 23 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.36 miles in, with a grade of about 5 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Fortine show July highs around 84°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. Hagadore Lake is about 0.2 miles away, and Murphy Lake is about a mile off. North Dickey Lake campground is about 1.5 miles away, and Fortine Creek offers canoeing about 6 miles out.
