Winter Cox Divide is a 10.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, part of the Spotted Bear Ranger District of Flathead National Forest in northwest Montana. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is rated hard, with a one-way climb of about 1,437 feet from a low point of 5,143 feet to a high of 6,863 feet. The trail is natural-surface and not accessible. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. That makes it a backcountry route best suited to riders on foot or horseback. Several other hikes sit close by. Cox Creek is about half a mile away, Big River is about 1.6 miles off, and Calbick Creek and Winter Creek are each within about 2.3 miles. Paddlers can reach the Middle Fork Flathead River, roughly 5 miles away.
