Rock Candy is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Bonners Ferry Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests in northern Idaho, just across the state line in Montana. The trail is about 1.3 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 474 feet, and it rises from a low point of 6,462 feet to a high of 6,928 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is rated easy, so it works well as a quick outing or a warm-up before a longer day on foot. The climb is gentle, and the trail's short length makes it easy to fit into a few hours. Several other destinations sit close by.
