Lodgepole is a 7.5-mile out-and-back hike in the Seeley Lake Ranger District of Lolo National Forest in Montana, managed by the Forest Service. The trailhead is at Lodgepole Creek, and the route rises from a low point of about 5,400 feet to a high of about 7,000 feet, with a one-way elevation gain of roughly 1,500 feet. It stays open year-round, and the trail is natural-surface, with both horses and bikes allowed. The trip works well for a day on foot or with a pack animal, and the moderate grade makes it a comfortable option for a longer outing. The Lodgepole Creek trailhead serves as the starting point, and the route is suited to a full day with time to move slowly up and back. Several other trails sit close by. Center Creek is about a mile away, Center Ridge - A is about 2 miles off, and Limestone Pass and Blackfoot Divide are both within about 3 miles.
