Kading is a hard hike in the Helena Ranger District of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana, about 7.8 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 1,288 feet. The trail is managed by the Forest Service and has a natural surface. Bikes and horses are both allowed. The route is an out-and-back that starts at about 6,094 feet and climbs to about 7,421 feet. Kading Cabin and Kading Campground sit just 0.1 mile from the trail, making them the natural base for an overnight stay. Blackfoot Meadows is about 0.4 mile away, and Limburger Spring is about 1.3 miles off. For paddling, the Little Blackfoot River is about 7.8 miles away.
