Grubb Mountain is a moderate hike of about 5.4 miles round trip on an out-and-back route in the Libby Ranger District of Montana's Kootenai National Forest, about 5.4 miles from town. The trail rises from roughly 4,050 feet to about 5,426 feet, with a total climb of about 1,350 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface route that allows bikes. That makes it a flexible choice for hikers and riders alike. The most comfortable time to go is summer. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run around 72°F in July with lows near 45°F. Winters are cold, with January highs around 18°F. Lemonade Spring is about 1.6 miles away and Sanders Mtn. about 1.9 miles.
