Fish & Game Cabin is a short, easy hike in the Rocky Mountain Ranger District of Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana, about a mile from the trailhead. The route is an out-and-back that gains about 260 feet one way, with the high point at 5,013 feet and the low at 4,740 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about a quarter mile in, with a 20% grade. The trail is natural-surface and open year-round, and it is not accessible. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The Forest Service manages the land. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Gibson Dam weather station, which sits a few hundred feet lower, show July highs around 79°F with lows near 45°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-30s. Arsenic Creek is just 0.3 miles away, and Sun Butte and Sun Butte Cutacross are each about a mile off. For an overnight stay, Mortimer Gulch Campground is roughly 4 miles away.
