Easthouse National Recreation Trail is a hard hike in the Darby Ranger District of Montana's Bitterroot National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back route of about 39 miles, with a one-way climb of roughly 1,880 feet from a low point of about 6,600 feet to a high of about 8,665 feet. Bikes are allowed. The trail's length and elevation make it a serious commitment. Plan for a full day or more, and consider breaking the trip into shorter segments if needed. Crystal Creek Campground sits about 1.5 miles away, and the Crystal Creek Trail and Dam Creek are each within about 1.5 miles. Stony Lake is about 2 miles off.
