Cliff Point is a hard hike of about 16.3 miles in an out-and-back shape, rising from a low point of about 2,650 feet to a high of about 6,140 feet. It lies within the Rexford Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest in northwest Montana, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is natural-surfaced, and both bikes and horses are allowed. Several climbing areas sit about 2 to 3 miles away, including Dihedral Wall and South Stone-Bikini Area. Little North Fork Big Creek and Peck Gulch Crags are hiking options, and Peck Gulch Campground is about 3.4 miles off.
