Blodgett Overlook is an easy out-and-back hike in the Darby Ranger District of Montana's Bitterroot National Forest, about 2.8 miles long with a 544-foot elevation gain from a low point of 5,026 feet to a high of 5,565 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and the Forest Service manages the land. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 81°F with lows near 40°F and the fewest wet days of the year, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. The trailhead is at Canyon Creek Trailhead, and the parking is labeled Blodgett Overlook Trailhead. Blodgett Campground sits about 1.2 miles away, and the Blodgett Creek and Canyon Creek hikes are both within 2 miles. Climbers can find Blodgett Canyon about 2.3 miles off.
