Blodgett Creek is a hard hike in the Stevensville Ranger District of Montana's Bitterroot National Forest, about 14.4 miles long with a one-way elevation gain of 1,302 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and out and back, starting at the Blodgett Trailhead parking area, which sits about 0.1 mile from Blodgett Campground. The route climbs from a low point of about 4,240 feet to a high of about 5,543 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 81°F with lows near 40°F and the fewest wet days of the year, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. Blodgett Campground is right next to the trailhead. Blodgett Overlook and Climber's Path are both within about 2 miles, and the Blodgett Canyon climbing area is about 2 miles away.
