Arasta is an easy, 2.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Stevensville Ranger District of Montana's Bitterroot National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is natural-surfaced and rises about 164 feet from a low point of 6,931 feet to a high of 7,094 feet. The route is short and gentle, making it a straightforward outing for a day on foot. Spring Gulch - Cooney Ridge lies about 2 miles away, and Cleveland Mountain is roughly 2.4 miles off. For an overnight stay, Harrys Flat Campground is about 6.6 miles away, and Dalles Campground is about 6.9 miles away.
