Kading Campground is a Forest Service site in the Helena Ranger District of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana, off Forest Road #227 and beside the Little Blackfoot River. The site sits adjacent to the proposed Electric Peak Wilderness Area, and it makes a base for camping, hunting, fishing and hiking. The campground has vault toilets, and a fee is charged for stays. A small public corral is across the road. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the Elliston weather station, about 10 miles away, put July highs near 81°F with lows around 46°F, while September cools to highs of about 69°F. Winter there is cold, with January highs near 33°F and lows around 11°F. Kading Cabin and the Kading hike are both about 0.1 mile away, and the Blackfoot Meadows hike is about 0.3 mile off. Paddlers can reach the Little Blackfoot River's Little River Campground.
