Twin Hemlock Loop is a short, easy cross-country ski route in northern Michigan, about 3.7 miles from the town of Pearll City. The loop is a flat out-and-back course, with no real climb, and it covers less than a mile of skiing, making it a quick addition to a day of exploring the surrounding trails. The route starts and ends at nearly the same elevation, with the high point at 1,337 feet and the low at 1,324 feet. It is a simple, low-effort run that pairs well with other loops in the area. Because it's so short, it works as both a warm-up and a finish to a longer outing. Winter is the natural season for this ski route. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show January highs around 25°F and lows near 11°F, while March brings highs of about 37°F. Late spring and early fall are milder, with May highs near 65°F and September highs near 68°F. Other loops sit close by: Whoopsy Loop is just 0.1 mile away, and Relic Pine Loop and Highland Loop are within a mile. For an overnight stay, Lost Valley Bible Camp and Retreat Center is about 4.6 miles off.
