S. Berghorst Ridge Trail is a 0.84-mile out-and-back cross-country ski route in Pigeon Creek County Park, a county-managed property in Michigan. The trail sits at about 603 feet at its lowest point and reaches 635 feet at the top of the ridge, with a total elevation gain of 56 feet over the round trip. That makes it a short, low-elevation outing, but the climb is front-loaded, and the steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.08 miles, with a 6% grade. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show January highs around 29°F with lows near 20°F, and February is similar at 31°F and 22°F. That station sits at nearly the same elevation as the trail, so its figures are a fair guide to conditions on the ridge. Several other ski routes lie close by. Hemlock Path is about 0.2 miles away, Creek Loop about 0.5 miles, and Red Pine Loop and Mounds Loop both within a mile.
