Green Trail is a cross-country ski route in Madeline Bertrand Park, on county land in Michigan. The route is an out-and-back of about 1.9 miles, and the trail is rated hard. It starts and ends at about 688 feet, with a slight climb to 696 feet and a little over 34 feet of total elevation gain and loss. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 4% grade, 0.1 mile from the start. The trail is best suited to winter, when temperatures stay cold and snow is likely. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in S Bend, Indiana, put January highs around 32°F with lows near 17°F, and February is similar at about 35°F and 19°F. That station sits at nearly the same elevation as the trail, so its figures are a fair guide here. The Red Trail, another cross-country ski route, and the Yellow Trail, a hike, both start about 0.1 mile away. Judy Creek, a canoeing spot, is roughly 5.8 miles off.
