Rt 3 Overlook is a short, flat mountain biking route in Massachusetts, about 1.1 miles from North Billerica. The ride is an out-and-back of roughly 0.44 miles, with a high point of 158 feet and a low of 147 feet. The climb is nearly flat, with a total gain and loss of about 32 feet each, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.11 miles in, with a grade of about 3 percent. The most comfortable months for riding are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Lowell show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 76°F, while July averages about 85°F. Several other spots sit close by. Yellow Rabbit is about half a mile away, and the Old Middlesex Turnpike is about 0.7 miles off. The Middlesex Canal Trail is about 1.7 miles away for hikers, and Brookside, a cross-country ski area, is about 2 miles away.
