Rocks State Park is a climbing area in Maryland, about 0.2 miles from the community of Rocks. It is a compact cluster of boulders and short walls, with several named climbing areas sitting within a short distance of one another. The park holds a mix of bouldering and traditional routes. Among the boulders are Breakaway Wall, Moby Dick and Trailer Boulders and Purple Trail Boulders, all about 0.1 mile away. The route list includes eight bouldering problems, with grades ranging from V0 to V5 on the V scale, and two traditional routes. For bouldering, the V0 route Leech and the V2 route Big Mama are the easiest options. Angel's Dance (Pilgrims Progress) is the hardest at V5. Temperatures run cooler than at the Conowingo Dam weather station, about 13 miles away, so plan for that when assessing conditions for a climb.
