Housley Loop is a 1-mile loop mountain biking route in Maryland, about 0.4 miles from the town of Rolling Knolls. The trail rises from a low point of 46 feet to a high of 120 feet, with a total elevation gain of 77 feet, and the steepest section comes early on, at about 9% grade. It's a short, easy ride, and it makes a convenient base for exploring the network of nearby mountain biking and hiking routes in the area. The loop itself is a low-commitment outing. Dogs are allowed on the trail as long as they are leashed. The weather is mild in spring and fall, with typical October highs around 68°F and lows near 52°F, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Annapolis. Summer runs warmer, with typical July highs near 89°F. Several other routes sit close by. Housley Loop Access is about 0.1 mile away, and the Overlook Connector and Missing Link Connector are each about 0.2 mile off. For a walk, Woodland Loop is about half a mile away.
