Grist Mill Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in Maryland, about a mile from the community of Foxhall Farm. The trail is an out-and-back with a total length of about 0.6 miles and no elevation gain, so it works well as a quick ride or a warm-up before heading to other spots in the area. The route is mostly flat, with the steepest stretch coming at about 0.26 miles in, where the grade reaches about 2%. Dogs are allowed on the trail as long as they are leashed. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Baltimore show May highs around 76°F and October highs around 68°F, while July averages climb to about 89°F. Garrett's Pass and Bike Buster-Downhill are both about 0.3 miles away, and the Forest Glen Trail and Sawmill Branch Trail are also within a third of a mile.
