The Rt 27 Connector is a short, easy mountain biking route in Maine's Carrabassett Valley, managed by State Park and Recreation. It is a brief linking trail in the state's mountain biking network, about 0.15 miles long, and it works as an out-and-back ride that pairs well with other trails in the area. The route covers about a third of a mile and rises roughly 24 feet from its low point at 1,290 feet to a high of 1,320 feet. The climb is flat, with a slight grade of about 3% near the start, and the trail mixes different surfaces, which makes it a good way for beginners to get used to varied riding conditions. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Long Falls Dam weather station show July highs around 77°F with lows near 55°F, while winter highs stay in the 20s. Several other trails sit close by. Snail Trail is about 0.1 mile away, and Old Race Trail and First Tracks are each about 0.2 mile off. Climbers can find Tufulio's Boulders about 4 miles away.
