A Wall is a climbing area in Pictured Rocks County Park in Iowa, on county land. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with several other named areas within a short distance, so it works well as one stop in a day of exploring the park's rock. The climbing here is sport and trad, with five routes in total. Herding Sheep is the only trad route, a 5.6. The sport routes run from 5.7 up to 5.11b, with Tiny Dancer at 5.7, Hope for a Boner at 5.10a and Super Fly at 5.11b. The Iowa Climbers Coalition did the first ascent of Tiny Dancer. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Cascade, Iowa, show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 83°F. Pictured Rocks, Ice Cave Wall and Shiprock all lie about 0.1 mile away, and Wild Iowa Wall is about 0.1 mile off as well.
