Hornbeam Nature Preserve is an 84-acre state-managed park in Indiana, about 3 miles from the town of Liberty. The land is overseen by the state park agency, and the preserve's modest size makes it a compact stop rather than a full-day destination. For the most comfortable conditions, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the Brookville weather station, about 13 miles away, put May highs near 76°F and October highs around 68°F, while July highs reach about 87°F. Other trails lie close by. Memorial Loop (#12) is under a mile away, and Glidwell Trail is roughly 8 miles off. Either pairs easily with a visit here.
