Lirley Cemetery is an easy hike of about 2.6 miles in the Mississippi Bluffs Ranger District of Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is an out-and-back with a rolling climb, reaching a high point of about 709 feet and a low of about 433 feet. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.55 miles in, with a grade of about 13 percent. The trail is on natural surface, and both horses and bikes are allowed. The total elevation gain is about 628 feet, and the route is roughly 2.6 miles long. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Anna run to highs around 71°F in April and 73°F in October, while July highs average about 90°F. The River to River Segment 6 - Giant City to Alto Pass lies about 0.8 miles away, and Cedar Lake is about 1.6 miles off. Little Cedar Loop is about 2.1 miles away, and the climbing area at Cove Hollow is about 3.1 miles away.
