Indian Pt Gog is a moderate hike of about 3.4 miles in the Hidden Springs Ranger District of Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is natural-surfaced, and the route gains about 135 feet in elevation, with the steepest stretch at about 0.22 miles in, where the grade reaches 13%. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Rosiclare show May highs around 75°F and October highs near 69°F, while July and August average about 86°F. Pharoah Campground - Garden Of The Gods sits just 0.1 mile away, and the Observation Trail and R-R Garden of the Gods Loop are both within a mile. Little Eagle Creek, about 4.3 miles off, offers canoeing.
