The McCall Area is a climbing area in Idaho, managed by the State Department of Land. It sits in the McCall region, with the McCall airport weather station about 5 miles away, and several other climbing and hiking spots within a few miles. The area has five routes, with grades ranging from 5.6 to 5.10a. Three are trad routes, one is a sport route and one is a mixed route. The Memorial Route, also known as the Caudill Queen King Route, is a sport route at 5.8+. Slippery Slope is a mixed route at 5.10a. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. Typical averages from the nearby McCall airport station show July and August highs around 81°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter highs stay near freezing.
