Lost River Range is a climbing area in Idaho's Salmon-Challis National Forest, within the Challis-Yankee Fork Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the area is known for its alpine routes, with a few ice climbs among the 10 routes listed. Alpine climbing dominates here, with eight of the 10 routes falling into that category. The YDS grades run from 5.6 up to 5.11a/b, and two of the routes are ice. Among the named climbs are MullladyMillsap at 5.6, Event Horizon at 5.9 and The High Lonesome at 5.11a/b. Several other destinations sit within a short drive. Carlson Lake is about 5 miles away, and Borah Peak is roughly 6 miles off. The Via Ferrata Wall and Cedar Creek climbing areas are each about 7 miles away.
