Geowatt is a climbing area in Idaho's City of Rocks National Reserve, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots and trails, with Site 18 and White Wall both within half a mile and the Geo Watt Trail about 0.4 miles away. The area has five routes, four of which are sport climbs and one a trad route. The grades run from 5.7 to 5.9 on the YDS scale, with Low Voltage Left and Low Voltage Right at 5.7 and Carolyn in the City at 5.8. Continental Drift and Never Leave Home Without It top out at 5.9. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Rosette, Utah, show May highs around 65°F and September highs around 74°F, while July and August average in the mid-80s. Independence Lakes Campground, about 8.7 miles away, is the closest place to camp.
