It sits among a cluster of outdoor destinations, with McClendon Spring Campground and Cassia Creek both about 4 miles away. The climbing here is all trad, with five routes ranging from 5.7 to 5.10a. The Crusher is the easiest at 5.7, and Duck Dodgers and Kill the Wabbit are the hardest at 5.10a. The area's typical weather is most comfortable in late spring and early fall, when typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 65°F in May to 74°F in September. That station sits about 700 feet lower than the columns, so temperatures at the crag run a little cooler. For an overnight base, McClendon Spring Campground is the closest. Bennett Springs Campground and the Connor Creek hike are both about 6 miles away, and the Raft River is roughly 8 miles off.
