Atomic Boulders is a climbing area in the Mountain Home Ranger District of Idaho's Boise National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of short hikes and another climbing spot, The Playground, just under a mile away, which makes it an easy addition to a day spent on foot or on rock in this corner of the forest. The area holds seven routes, mostly boulders with a mix of styles. Five of them are boulders, and two are mixed or trad. Grading runs from V1 to V5 on the V scale and from 5.8 to 5.11b on the YDS scale, so the boulders range from relatively straightforward to quite challenging. Two of the boulders, Blast Off and Burnt Shadow, top out at V5. For more to do nearby, Stack Rock is a hike just 0.4 miles away, and Bogus Boulders is about 2 miles off. Shafer Butte campground is roughly 3.5 miles away, and Shafer Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 7 miles out.
