Dirty Bobs is a short, moderate mountain biking route in Idaho's Boise National Forest, within the Mountain Home Ranger District. The climb is an out-and-back of about 0.66 miles, with a total elevation gain of 387 feet. The high point is 6,568 feet, and the route starts at about 6,565 feet, so the climb is nearly symmetrical. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.07 miles from the start, where the grade reaches 14 percent. That makes the route a quick, punchy ride rather than a long haul. Several other mountain biking routes sit within a tenth of a mile, including Sunday Stroll, #98 Around the Mountain and War Eagle Road. Bogus Boulders, a climbing area, is about half a mile away, and Shafer Butte campground is about a mile off.
