Sheep Camp is a 2.9-mile out-and-back hike in Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, within the Palisades Ranger District. The trail rises from about 8,300 feet to a high point of 9,311 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,028 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is rated moderate. The trail is natural-surfaced and open year-round. Bikes and horses are both allowed, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. The Austin hike lies just 0.4 miles away, and the Siddoway Fork Creek mountain biking route is about a mile off. Austin Canyon and Neely Cove are also within about a mile and a half. For an overnight stay, Big Elk Campground is roughly 6.5 miles away.
