Perreau Meadows is a hike in the Salmon-Cobalt Ranger District of Idaho's Salmon-Challis National Forest, about 2 miles from the district's boundaries. The route is an out-and-back that covers roughly 4 miles, with a total climb of about 788 feet one way. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Salmon-Ksra weather station run from highs around 76°F in June to about 86°F in July, with September easing back to the low 70s. The surrounding area offers several other outings within a short drive. The Buckhorn Trail is about a mile away, and Williams Creek is about 1.4 miles off.
