Martin Ridge is a hard hike of about 21 miles on natural trail in the Krassel Ranger District of Payette National Forest in Idaho. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is an out-and-back that rises from about 4,050 feet to roughly 7,580 feet, with a total climb of about 3,600 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 82°F with lows near 40°F, while winter highs there stay in the low to mid 30s. Bikes and horses are both allowed on the trail. Cougar Creek and Teapot Mountain sit about a tenth of a mile away, and the Reed Ranch Airstrip Developed Site and Camp Creek campground are within a mile.
