Buckskin is a 4.75-mile out-and-back hike on Bureau of Land Management land in the Pocatello Field Office in Idaho, with a moderate climb of 1,662 feet from a low point of about 6,300 feet to a high of about 7,960 feet. The trail is natural-surfaced and open year-round, and it is accessible to horses and bikes. The route is a straightforward out-and-back, and the climb is spread across the full length of the trail. The trail is not accessible, so plan for a hike that works with horses or bikes rather than for a wheelchair or stroller. Mcnabe Creek lies just 0.4 miles away, and North Webb Creek and Upper Webb Creek are both within about 3.5 miles. Paddlers can reach the Portneuf River, about 9.4 miles off.
