Brush Creek is a 4.6-mile out-and-back hike in Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, within the Soda Springs Ranger District. The trail rises from about 6,386 feet to about 7,054 feet, a climb of 625 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land. The route is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. It stays open year-round, and the nearest town is Soda Springs. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 80°F with lows near 43°F and only about six wet days. That station sits roughly 700 feet lower than the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. Crooked Creek and the South Fork Tincup Access Trail are both within about a mile and a half. Pine Bar campground is about 3.4 miles away, and Tincup Mountain is about 3.1 miles off.
