The Bridge is an easy, short out-and-back hike on Bureau of Land Management land in the Challis Field Office of Idaho. It covers 0.36 miles with a mere 6 feet of elevation gain, so it works as a quick stop or a way to stretch legs before or after another outing in the area. Bicycles and horses are both allowed on the trail, which sits on natural ground. The route is short enough that it fits easily into a day with other nearby trails. For timing, late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Challis run to highs around 67°F in May and 74°F in September. July is the warmest month, with highs near 87°F, and winter is cold, with January highs around 29°F. The closest neighbors are the Valley mountain biking area and the Ebb and Flow hike, each about 0.1 mile away.
