Redfish Lake is a fishing lake in Idaho's Sawtooth National Recreation Area, part of the Sawtooth National Forest. The State Department of Land manages the land, and the lake sits within the recreation area's ranger district. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Stanley show July and August highs around 80°F with lows near 37 to 39°F and only five or six wet days a month. Winters are cold, with January highs around 29°F. Several other spots are close by. Bench Lakes and the Redfish Ridge Trail are both about 0.9 miles away. Sockeye Campground is about a mile off, and the Redfish Lake Bouldering climbing area is about 1.5 miles away.
