Sage Hen Flats Campground is a Bureau of Land Management site on the Blackfoot River in Idaho, within the Pocatello Field Office. It's a simple, semi-developed spot for camping, fishing and non-motorized boating, with no fees to use it. The site has four semi-developed campsites, and they are on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system in place. Visitors must pack in and out their trash, as there are no dumpsters on site. Facilities include vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings and a horse shoe pit. There is also an undeveloped put-in/take-out for floaters. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Idaho Falls show July highs around 81°F with lows near 50°F, while winter brings highs in the low 30s and regular snow days from December through February. Nearby campgrounds include Graves Creek Campground about 4.6 miles away, Morgans Bridge Campground at 5.8 miles, and Trail Creek Bridge Campground at 8.7 miles.
