The Brain is a bouldering area in Georgia's Rum Creek Wildlife Management Area, about 2.5 miles from the town of Dames Ferry. The State Department of Natural Resources manages the land, and the area sits among several other climbing spots, including Waterworld, Right Scoop and The Line, all within about a tenth of a mile. The climbing here is all bouldering, with six routes spread across the V0 to V3 range. Kids Traverse is the easiest at V0, and Frontal Lobe Traverse is the hardest at V3. Brain Trust and Pinky and the Brain fall in between. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Monticello show October highs around 78°F with lows near 48°F, while July highs reach about 92°F.
