Swaveys is a short, moderate mountain biking ride in Standing Boy Creek State Park, Georgia, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. It sits about 3 miles from the town of Piney Grove and makes an easy add-on to a day spent exploring the park. The route is an out-and-back covering about half a mile, with a total elevation gain of roughly 150 feet. The climb is steepest near the start, around 7%, and the high point is about 488 feet, while the low point is about 392 feet. The ride is short enough to fit into a longer visit, and the official warning here is a simple one: "Caution Contains Jumps," so riders should be prepared for some jumps along the way. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Mulberry Grove show April highs around 76°F and October highs around 79°F, while July and August average about 91°F. That station sits at nearly the same elevation as the ride, so its figures are a good guide. Lonely Hunter Loop Trail is about 0.7 miles away for hikers. Standing Boy Creek, about 5.7 miles off, offers canoeing, and Idle Hour Park Nature Trail and Lamb's Lake Trail are both within about 6 miles.
